SHOE MAKER EMPLOYE’S OTHER YOUTH’S IN HIS WORKSHOP

By Charlotte Taremwa (CEGED)
The disabled were not left out in the West Nile youth exhibition that was organized by YES project as Eric from Nebbi shared with us.  Despite dropping out of school at primary level, he did not give up on life. He was sponsored to train in shoe making in Kampala.
After he was given minimum business capital top up to start his business. He is happy to be a boss now as he has employed other youths in his Exodus Shoe Makers Workshop based in Nebbi.

Erick advises that "..... fellow disabled youth should not to look at begging on the streets as the only way for survival they should reach out to able people and NGOs like CEGED, AFARD, SNV, TECHNOSERVE, ACAV, Self Help Africa who can teach them home made businesses such as farming, Art and Craft, candles, liquid soap, baking among others."
Gratitude goes to our funders who are dedicated to uplift the West Nile region and the future of Uganda's young generation. As CEGED we will continue to strive for economic empowerment and development for Ugandans.
