Nile NGOs, CBOs, private sectors, individual groups are not only offering
trainings and apprenticeship opportunities but they are also raising platforms for marketing too. Earlier in August this year, the Youth Employability enterprise and Skills development (YES) project brought all
youth who have benefited from the YES project in an exhibition that was termed as the West Nile Youth Event.
Marketing is a big pillar in business. It goes
beyond being a service with a smile.
As CEGED, we nurture youth to make quality
products that can compete with a standard market, and to brand goods so as to
stand out especially those that are packaged. The winners in writing business plan proposals were mentored
and got a business plan expansion kit according to their business category.
A two days free entry exhibition at Heritage
Hotel was the first of its kind in the region where the youth form Arua, Yumbe Zombo, Nebbi showcased their
businesses. The supervisors were very
impressed by some youth who had business cards for their business as another
tip in marketing.
All sectors involved in promoting
youth empowerment to fight poverty such as the private sector, the CBO's, the Local government, SNV, AFARD and above all the founders European Union, USAIDUG, UKaid, DanChurchaid, GAPP, for their support.
